Happy Friday, bookworms! This week I've binged Stranger Things 3 and it was amazing! I loved season one, though season two was fine, but this one was incredible! I already want to watch it again. I'm so hyped about it that I had to do this tag, which I found over at Blossoms and Bullet Journals.
EPIC INTRO
A book that grabbed your attention on the first page
Caraval begins with a series of letters to Master Legend and that intro had me absolutely hooked. Every time I read this book I get that magical feeling again as soon as I get to the letter signed by Legend.
DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS
A fantasy world you’d like to experience yourself
Oh, there are so many! I couldn't choose just one so I'm going with Middle Earth and Wonderland. Both have so much to see!
SQUAD GOALS
Your favorite bookish friends
Rhysand's Inner Circle probably remains my favorite group of bookish friends ever. I did have my issues with the end of the series, but the characters were fantastic to the end! I love how unique they are and their relationships are hilarious.
ABCs AND CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Your favorite unhinged character
I mean, really, could this go any other way? (It's Morpheus, by the way.)
THE UPSIDE-DOWN
A book that was the opposite of what you expected
Mirage was nothing like I expected. Based on the cover and marketing I really thought I was in for a fantasy, but it turned out to be sci-fi. My bad for not paying closer attention, I guess!
MAD SCIENTISTS
The freakiest government you can think of
I've been catching up on The Handmaid's Tale Season 3 and, yikes. It's terrifying. Similarly, the governments of The Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Hunger Games are nightmare fuel. It's always the dystopian books with governments still functioning that are the scariest. In fact, I need a new scary dystopian government to read about (a fictional one, please).
DEMOGORGON
A scary book creature you would not want to go through your walls
No spoilers, but the Nightbringer. How about nope.
CLIFFHANGER ENDING
A book that left you wanting more
I'm sorry I keep talking about Ninth House, but the ending of this one KILLED ME! I am already dying for book two and the first one isn't even out yet. :/
Have you watched season three yet?
What are your favorite scary dystopian recs?
Let me know in the comments!
