Cornerfolds 7th Blogiversary Giveaway!

Somehow it has been seven years since I started this blog and honestly how? I started Cornerfolds in 2014 when I was feeling isolated and needed something to give me a purpose and it absolutely has done that. Things haven't always been wonderful, but I've always had this blog and the amazing friends I've made in this community to anchor me.

If we're being honest, the last year has been completely awful and I know that's definitely come across in my posts. Last year I didn't even make a anniversary post because it was so insane! It seems like my weekly recaps are always filled with doom and gloom (this week won't be any different, hurray!), but you amazing blogging buddies of mine have always been here when I drag myself back after whatever ridiculous thing has come my way. I just... I love you guys. Thank you for sticking with me and letting me come and go as I need to. 

That's enough moping for today though because this is a celebration of SEVEN years of blogging! Things have certainly changed around here, eh? BookTube, Bookstagram, and BookTok weren't things when I first started, for sure. No matter how things around us continue to evolve, I'll always love this community and the support I've found in it over the last seven years.

Cornerfolds 5th Blogiversary Giveaway

It's so wild that another year has already gone by and I'm still here amongst all of you fine bookish nerds. Sometimes I think about what life would be like without book blogging and... I can't?? In my non-bookish life I'm the biggest introvert I know, but in the blogosphere I've made so many incredible friends and I just don't know what I'd do without you all!

In my last blogiversary post I talked about what a hard time I'd had the year before and how much I appreciated all of you. This past year has been such an amazing one! I've had ups and downs, of course, but I can't even describe to you the difference and I am so thankful to still have this amazing community. Thank you so much for sticking by me for another 365 days!

Cornerfolds 4th Blogiversary Giveaway

Here we are again! It's kind of amazing how fast time goes by. It seems like I was just posting about my third blogiversary a few months ago, but here I am talking about my blog turning four! I honestly can't imagine my life without this blog and all of you amazing people. Every year I say it, but it doesn't mean any less!

It's no secret that the last year has been a difficult one for me. I've struggled a lot amidst some big changes in my personal life and went through almost a year-long period where I had very little desire to read or blog about anything. For the last few months, I've felt more like myself than I have in a long time and I'm slowly trying to get the blog back to where it used to be. I'm bringing all this up again to say I'm eternally grateful to those of you who have stuck with me through the slow times and are still here with me!

I have no idea what the next year holds, but I'm going to strive to be around more often, blog hop more often, and have more great discussions with all of you amazing people! Thank you all for being my people!

Cornerfolds Is Turning 3 - A Blogiversary Giveaway!

Another year has passed and holy crap Cornerfolds is turning three! This blog began in April 2014, partly as a way to keep track of what I was reading, but mostly to kill time while I was living in a tiny room in Maryland and waiting for my husband to finish upgrade training for his job. I never dreamed it would grow into a real blog with amazing readers and friends who would stick with me through good times and the not-so-good ones!

The past year has been a whirlwind. I've fought Lyme Disease, weathered a hurricane, and lost a grandparent. But amazing things have also happened! I attended TWO ALA conferences, met blogging friends in real life, gained an incredible co-blogger, added some amazing books to my collection, met a ton of new dogs, went on a cruise, and moved to a new house! All in all, I'd say things have been pretty good.

Since last April I've learned a lot: That I don't always have to know what I'm doing. That sometimes I need to shut up and listen. That IT'S OKAY to not finish a book if it's awful (life's too short). That I'm allowed to take breaks when they're needed and come back when I'm ready. Maybe most importantly I've learned to stay away from bookoutlet.com because that's where the bad things happen.

So thank you everyone for another amazing year in the blogosphere! Keep scrolling to see what we've done this year and, yes, of course there's a giveaway at the end!


Happy Blogiversary Cornerfolds! I'm so happy to be a part of this wonderful corner of the internet. This past year, I met Tracy via Twitter in June, joined Cornerfolds in November, and finally got to meet Tracy in person in January! It has been a great year, and I am so glad that I made the decision to join Cornerfolds. It has brought me an amazing friend and introduced me to all of you! From the second we announced that I would be a part of this blog, I was welcomed into a fantastic group of people. Thank you all so much for your support! I'm looking forward to all we have in store for the future! I hope you enjoy our giveaway!

Happy two years to me - blogiversary giveaway!

Where has the time gone?? It seems like only yesterday I decided to start a blog so that my reviews could have a place to live. At the time I had absolutely no idea what I was doing (sometimes I still don't) but I found such an amazing family among the book blogging community that I could not begin to imagine leaving!
