Top Ten Tuesday #150: Most anticipated for the rest of 2017

Today's Topic:  Top Ten Most Anticipated Books For The Second Half of 2017 These are always my favorite topics to do because they're always so easy! Which really works out because this almost didn't get done due to a puppy emergency yesterday... But anyway. Here are my top ten most anticipated! And yes, this list does include Dan Brown. Judge me. I've been waiting years. YEARS! The Becoming of Noah Shaw by Michelle Hodkin Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano The Hummingbird Heart by A.G. Weekly Recap: 5/21 - 5/27

Well this week was insanely busy. First of all, I feel like I should apologize for being seriously awful at commenting back. :/ I hate when that happens and I promise to be better! My posts were also seriously lacking this week. As in, there weren't many... But a few things were going on. First, the new Harry Potter inspired candle selection was released on Etsy! You can click on the image or the "shop" button in the nav bar for more details! The second thing that happened was I worked on planning TWO vacations - one for my brother and his friend who are spending 5 days at Disney World, and one for my husband and myself. We recently...

Mini DNF Review: 1984 by George Orwell

Title: 1984 Author: George Orwell Publication Date: June 8, 1949Publisher: Signet ClassicsPages: 328Add to Goodreads The year 1984 has come and gone, but George Orwell's prophetic, nightmarish vision in 1949 of the world we were becoming is timelier than ever. 1984 is still the great modern classic of "negative utopia" -a startlingly original and haunting novel that creates an imaginary world that is completely convincing, from the first sentence to the last four words. No one can deny the novel's hold on the imaginations of whole generations, or the power of its admonitions -a power that seems to grow, not lessen, with the passage of time.  As...

Audiobook Review: Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Title: Pandemonium (Delirium #2) Author: Lauren Oliver Narrator: Sarah Drew Publication Date: February 28, 2012Publisher: HarperTeen Add to Goodreads Reviews for book 1 & book 3 I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her. I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame. Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce...

Top Ten Tuesday #149: Unusual beach reads

Today's Topic:  Top Ten Unusual Beach Reads I Want To Read Eventually This topic... Every year I dread it. I hate "beach reads" so much that there's no way I could put together a list of books that I liked. So this year I decided to go with books that are summer/ocean/island related that probably aren't what you usually think of when you go looking for a beach read - and I learned that Jeff Probst writes books! Who knew?! The Aqua Secret by L.L. Hunter The Black: Arrival by Paul E. Cooley The Deep by Peter Benchley Drown by Esther Dalseno The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells The Islands at the End of the...

Weekly Recap: 5/14 - 5/20

Happy weekend, everyone! This week has been slightly easier with the puppy. He's had fewer accidents in the house, although they haven't completely stopped. I will be so happy when he's fully house trained and I don't have to clean up after him! The most exciting event of the week was previewing Pandora, the brand new land at Disney's Animal Kingdom! You can check out my experience in yesterday's post! I've also been hard at work getting new candles ready to go up for preorder, so keep an eye out! HOW IN THE WORLD IS IT ALREADY THE END OF MAY???? Seriously, where the heck did this month go? I feel like I have...

Disney For the Weekend: Pandora Preview

Happy Saturday, everybody! It's been a little while since I've brought some Disney for your weekend, but I have something exciting to share! You may or may not know that Disney is bringing Avatar's Pandora to Animal Kingdom. Why? I haven't the slightest clue, honestly. I have no idea why Disney thought a movie from almost 10 years ago was the best material to work with, but here we are anyway. Pandora opens on May 27th, 2017, but I had the amazing opportunity to attend an Annual Passholder's preview this past Monday and I have the details for you! I arrived at Pandora at the beginning of my two hour window, which was 12pm - 2pm. Let...
