2015 Horror Reading Challenge

In 2015 I will be hosting my first ever reading challenge! This is definitely new territory for me, but I loved doing a horror challenge last year and, with the blessing of Midnyte Reader (the host for the 2013 and 2014 horror reading challenges) this spooky challenge has been relocated to Cornerfolds. The horror genre is subjective, but a good guideline to follow is whether a book is regularly shelved as horror on Goodreads. Challenge Guidelines This challenge will run from January 1, 2015 - December 31, 2015, and you can join at anytime. Books must be read and reviewed in 2015. Audiobooks, re-reads, short stories, and crossovers...

Weekly Recap: 12/21 - 12/27

My Super Exciting Life  I guess I should begin this recap with an apology for being so scarce lately. I went on an awesome vacation with my mom to Disney World last week and was totally missing from the blog even though I tried really hard not to be! This week has been almost equally busy and I've been sick. :-( In fact, I was supposed to go have Christmas with my mom's side of the family, followed by the Nutcracker ballet yesterday, but woke up with a high fever and couldn't make it. Fingers crossed that I'm finally better! Christmas with my parents has been high stress, but a lot of fun! We spent Christmas Eve with my dad's side...

Decorating my dream library at Minted.com

As my regular readers may know, I'm obsessed with my current office and future library (which I WILL have in the next few years). While I definitely love what I already have, my decor is kind of a combination of Disney art and Star Trek memorabilia. I mean, I'm not complaining - those are two of my favorite things! But I would love to have a more sophisticated library at some point. Lately I've been thinking... I have a "grown up" office now, so why wait on the "grown up" art to decorate it?! On my lengthy journeys around the interwebs, I discovered Minted.com. I'm pretty confident I used them for my save-the-date cards, but I recently...

And what better time to post an end-of-year post than Christmas day?! So here it is! My first end of year survey! Here's hoping there are many more to come! 2014 Reading Stats Number Of Books You Read: 63, according to Goodreads! I realize it's not many compared to a lot of my fellow...
